My latest podcast is for Easter, the story of Mary Magdalene coming to Jesus’s tomb after his execution.

Resurrection starts off with a grieving protest.
This should not have happened.
This should never have happened.

Mary Magdalene’s protesting, demanding grief
Is affirmed by angels, and by Jesus,
And it is out of that grief, out of that shattered heart,
That she recognizes Jesus
And realizes there is more to the story.
That there is a future, a world, beyond crucifixion.
